Charles Ervin, started life under tough circumstances. As a young boy, he and his siblings endured abuse from a family member. Charles wondered why he wasn't good enough to be loved. His constant fear made learning at school difficult. If not impossible, a situation exacerbated by undiagnosed dyslexia. Consequently, he dropped out of school in ninth grade.

A series of bad choices led to incarceration. However, all along this journey, people in his life responded to the goodness in him and loved him, helping him survive with a positive spirit. God led him to Menderhall Elementary. His life changed.

Follow Charles on his journey  and you'll understand why parole officers, teachers, principals, even a superintendent all grew to love him. You'll learn why they felt compelled to support and encourage him to make the most of his God-given talents. His forgiving spirit and unquenchable optimism helped Charles move forward, leaving the darkness of his childhood behind and allowing him to step into the light of a future bright with promise and love.

See first-hand an example of how love can save a life from despair and destruction. Allow Charles to inspire you to change your own
